I didnt sleep well. My night was filled with dreams. I was a girl spy. Actually the leader of an all girl spy team. We worked with the government. They called us to solve difficult crimes. The dreams were strange. I blame it on the soup. Jenna made it. A creamy chicken vegetable soup with alphabet pasta. It was delicious. She used my chicken breasts. The ones I petrified Thursday.

It was Thursday afternoon. I was dead tired. My stomach was shouting at me. I still had Moms marinated chicken breasts. So I tossed them in the oven. Then I went upstairs to wait. But I fell asleep.

Four hours later. I remember the oven. Rush downstairs to the kitchen. Heather Lexis and Jenna are there. Sitting around the table talking. The oven is open but empty. I ask them about the chicken. They point to the counter. Its moms browned pyrex. Inside are two petrified pieces of chicken. Half the size they used to be. Then Heather starts lecturing me. Im half awake. My head is throbbing. I start to cry. Jenna puts her arm around me. She looks into the pyrex. Makes a funny comment. Then tells me she can salvage it.

So she threw it in the slow cooker. Simmered it overnight. Then chopped it up. Added a bunch of stuff. Slow cooked it all day yesterday. Voila soup! I should have brought some for Kaya. It was good stuff. Even with the crazy dreams.
