Im glad I dont live here. Separation changes things. It makes things clearer.

We went shopping this week. Kaya and I. We kept running into people. First was Renee. She was with Mandy. I wanted to avoid them. But Renee waved. What could I do? We went to them. I was surprised. They were nice. I introduced them to Kaya. We lunched and talked. It was all good. I think my time with Renee was good. Even the breakup. I learned alot.

Next day we met Kayas friend Joy. She was a trip. Real mellow. I think she was stoned. She kept closing her eyes. Slurring her words. Then we met Victor. He was cool. He gave us free drinks. Then we saw Candace. She was with Martina and some other girl. I pointed them out. Kaya said they looked hot. Thats not what I wanted to hear. I tried avoiding them. But it was crowded. We ran right into them. It was awkward. We said hi. I thought I would ache. But I didnt. She had no effect on me. Neither did Martina. Thats good. But in a way thats sad.

Yesterday we hooked up with Kayas school friends. They were all cool. I think they liked me. Then we saw Lisa at the mall. She was happy to see me. I introduced her to Kaya. We went for smoothies. She still turns me on. Too bad shes not gay anymore. She is seeing some guy. It sucked how it ended for us. But I learned from it too. Now were friends. That makes me happy.

With time and space comes change.
